But if this is so, you should be able to catch up with the image beam of your face as it travels to the mirror. Either way. You can't see the image of your face at the mirror. Einstein consulted the idea of Mach and it inspired him to reject the Aether once and for all especially after the null results of the MMX. He knew from Maxwell's equations that light speed can't vary. So applying it with the Galileo's principle of relativity. He declared unto the world that everyone should observe the same velocity of light in whatever location. So he should see the image of his face after all when travelling inside a ship at speed of light. But certain conventional ideas about time, lengths, mass, velocity had to be chucked out and replaced. So is born the Special Theory of Relativity that has caused endless debates even after a hundred years. Is Einstein thinking flawed when he cooked up his SR? Note he used the example of looking at mirror at speed of light when nothing with mass can move at the speed of light. For those who believe in Aether. Do you believe that you can see your image at the mirror when travelling at the speed of light?? If there is Aether, how come you can't go faster than the speed of light?? p6 nightbat You would be able to see your mirror reflection traveling at c and there is no proven physical based classical understood aether. Einstein's c limit in normal uniform static zero detectable gravity field space vacuum is correct but that doesn't mean if the space vacuum medium itself were in strong gravity field that fixed c frame is vacuum maintained should space medium itself be traveling inversely to the fixed speed of light. ponder on, the nightbat |

Hi nightbat I see lots of paradoxes "if" a human in his spaceship could
reach light speed. It can't ever be reality to reach that speed, gravity sees to it. EM energy creates this speed for photons only. Photons don't get old.Photons never go faster or slower. If photons act like particles the reason is their great force when both the photon, and its traveling twin the virtual photon are close together. I call this their gamma state. When they are far apart they almost completely lose their force particle feature(effect),and no matter how intense their source this does not make any difference. Einstien got his Nobel because he partly knew this to be reality. Bert |
