Default MOON, Jan 28

Hi Everybody,

I figure these things up just about every day because the weather
here in E Arkansas is so iffy. Therefore I can rationalize that I did
*some* astronomy today.

MOON
Jan 28, 0h UT
coords: 04 03 N 25 53
Longitude of terminator: W 21.823d (sin -0.3717)
eccentricity of the ellipsoid: 0.896

Prominent features near terminator:
North - Copernicus, Gay Lussac, Pytheas, Lambert + facial blanket
Tennerif Mts, Recti Mts, Plato
@ 0h UT trmntr xing Reinhold and is between Helicon
and Leverrier

South - Fra Mauro (ruin), Parry + rille, Bonpland, Guericke,
Pitatus
Hesiodus + A, Cichus, Tycho, Clavius + craterlets
@ 0h UT trmntr xing Kies in Mare Nubium

This is a very good Moon week with the declinations being very
northern
which should help to keep it away from those steamy rooftops.

If anyone has a pet crater they want to photograph, drop us a line and
I will try to calcualte a timing for sunrise/sunset.

Clear, still skies,
